Time Study

Time study measures the time required to complete tasks by scientifically breaking it into elements that are minutely examined to determine the most efficient method of completing the tasks. Time studies are useful to determine the standard time for various operations, to estimate the costs of a product, to control production, to estimate accurate delivery and completion dates.

We are licensed experts and use industry standards predetermined time software such as Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (M.O.S.T) and Modular Arrangement of Predetermined Time Standards (MODAPTS) to quantify the tasks. M.O.S.T is a predetermined motion time system that is used in industrial settings to set standard time in which tasks should be completed.

MODAPTS is an analytical tool used to analyze performance in output by monitoring the operator’s movement in the workplace. This is the standard measuring tool used in many manufacturing industries around the globe, specifically the automotive and mass production industries where productivity is the key. Our qualified and experienced team is all geared to help quantify your repetitive tasks and improve the productivity of your process

Method Study

Method Study does the analysis of improvement and standardization of individuals, equipment, and methods. This analysis leads to the efficiency of employees and equipment resulting in a streamlined process and cost reductions.

Our qualified and experienced team is all geared to help you improve the efficiency and productivity of your business processes.

Material Handling Design

Material Handling Design is the process of designing and optimizing the confines of a building or between a building and transportation equipment in a facility, which results in time, fuel, and cost savings. This leads to downtime related to the charging of the material handling equipment, which results in reduced maintenance of equipment and better reliability.

Visual Management

Visual Management is the process of visually communicating performance, standards, expectations, and warnings in a manner that requires little to no prior training to interpret. The process uses a wide variety of visuals management systems, such as 5S, and visual Kanban.

Visual management is one of the basic principles of lean management/manufacturing systems. Visual management is directly associated with waste reduction and efficiency improvement.

Warehouse Management

Warehouse Management is the process of managing day to day operations of a warehouse. This includes activities such as inbound, outbound, pick, pack, ship, and replenishment of inventory.

Another important service is on hand inventory analysis which is crucial to determine the optimal amount of inventory to be stored in a warehouse based on replenishment lead times.

A full design and monitoring system for all the key productivity indicators (KPI) of a warehouse enables productivity and resource management.

Value Stream Mapping

Value Stream Mapping (VSM), is a process used to identify waste, reduce process cycle times, and implement process improvement. VSM is a vital tool associated with lean management/manufacturing; the process uses a flowchart to document all steps.

VSM aids companies in creating a plan to maximize their resources and ensures their materials and time are used efficiently. VSM poses two important questions to obtain and produce improvement; where are we now and where do we want to go? These questions set the stage to develop a framework for improvement

Feasibility and Due Diligence Studies

Determining whether a project or idea is feasible has always proven to be the step in the right direction as it evaluates and analyzes the concept, financial exposure, understanding associated risks, code, and regulatory requirements, payback and resources and infrastructure requirements, social impact assessment, project alternatives and many more.

The feasibility study provides an answer to the key questions faced by decision-makers i.e

  • Is it worth moving to the next step?
  • What is our financial exposure?
  • What is payback?
  • What is the social impact?

Due Diligence

On the other hand, a Due Diligence Study is more comprehensive and elaborative and is performed before making a decision on a major financial commitment to confirm if all things are in the right place and to know if it is a final green or red light.

As the name suggests, Due Diligence Study examines anything and everything which has an impact on the decision including financials, cash-flow, expenses, physical asset condition, environmental compliance, hazardous materials presence, code and regulatory compliance situation, and so on. This requires a team of experienced professionals in accounting and finance, engineering, architecture, cost estimation, environmental specialists, risk and insurance specialists, appraisers, and more depending on the project needs.

At Ecoxis, we have helped our clients make decisions which they are happy with by conducting feasibility and due diligence studies. We have experienced team members in all disciplines who can guide you on the right path for making strategic decisions that you will be proud of.

Kaizen

Kaizen is a Japanese term meaning "change for the better". Kaizen projects involve continuous improvements focusing on:

Improvement of existing technology
Adaptability/Flexibility
Solutions that are low cost and easily implemented

 Success is achieved through:

Project teams brainstorming to identify issues

Generation of short and long term action items to address issues

Follow-up to ensure implementation and sustainability

Continuous improvement is everyone’s job

At Ecoxis, we have helped our clients implement Kaizen in their business process and realize millions of dollars of recurring savings. We have experienced team members in all disciplines who can help you benefit from Kaizen and make business processes better.

Lean Six-Sigma

Lean Six Sigma is an overall business improvement methodology that uses data to measure, analyze, improve and control operational performance by eliminating or preventing waste in processes.

Lean is a way of doing business that focuses on visual controls, one piece flow, and elimination of waste, standardization, flexibility and responsiveness. Becoming lean requires both Kaizen events and Six Sigma.

Six Sigma

Statistical approach that uses historical data for process parameters and their impact on the process output to form trends, correlations and all other sorts of analysis shows root causes for problems –otherwise – not tackled. Focuses on process output as primary metric.

Six Sigma Methodology (DMAIC)

1

Define Phase

Define the project and outline expectations for the team
2

Measure Phase

Quantify the baseline performance and identify potential causes for the deficiency
3

Analyze Phase

Using data, eliminate all non-vital causes (inputs) for the deficiency
4

Implement Phase

Optimize the critical input(s) in order to obtain your desired output
5

Control Phase

Control the critical inputs and sustain the gain
